Edge Computing minimizes latency and increases security by enabling data to be processed where the device is located, instead of in the cloud. Hardware such as the NVIDIA Jetson family (Jetson Nano, Jetson Xavier NX, Jetson AGX Xavier, etc.) is central to this approach. These devices can locally perform high-performance artificial intelligence operations with CPU/GPU combinations.

The DeepStream software platform manages end-to-end processes, including data collection, preprocessing, object tracking, analysis, and visualization, by performing video and image analysis directly on the edge.
